Gigabyte B650, ready for the new computing age
The specialized firm Gigabyte officially unveils some of the high-performance AMD B650 motherboard references. The manufacturer claims that the X670 line of models have been a great success. So consider it’s time for the bottom echelon of the B560 chipset .
New plates for a new architecture
The recently announced Ryzen 7000 processors with the Zen 4 architecture , and their new AM5 socket , mean the farewell to the recognizable AM4 socket that has been used so much in recent years. This, of course, requires users to go through the box with new motherboards. The first have been the X670 and now the B650 appear , which manufacturers like Gigabyte are beginning to launch.
The manufacturer, neither short nor lazy, announces motherboards for its AORUS , AERO and GAMING ranges . Of which, momentarily only 8 Aorus models have been released . These adopt the PCIe 5.0/4.0 x16 interface and include PCIe 5.0/4.0 M.2 slots with EZ-Latch technology on all variants.
Highlight its Twin Digital VRM phases of up to 16+2+2 power phases with a power of 105 amps and a circuit board of up to 12 layers . Those interested have a variety of formats to choose from, including ATX and Mini-ITX . In addition, the brand takes tighter budgets into account by launching a cheaper reference: Mini ITX B650I AORUS ULTRA , with 8+2+1 power phases.
In the connectivity section, the models come to have 2.5 Gbps Ethernet and Wi-Fi 6E 802.11ax wireless technology . Note that this new B650 line integrates USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Type-C with a bandwidth of up to 20 Gbps .
